ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES
JULY 24, 2003
7:00 P.M. Called meeting to order. Present: Ellen Abelson, Richard Gorden and Mark
Mazur
The Board reviewed and approved as amended the minutes to our July 10, 2003
meeting.
The Board read Appellate Tax Board decisions on two cases that were heard on
June 26, 2003. Both cases were decided in our favor.
The Board reviewed material related to our fiscal year 2004 revaluation. The Board
reviewed the basic changes that have been made to our schedules and tables to update our values. The following basic changes have been made:
residential land square foot rates were increased by 20%
single family base square foot rates were increased by 33% to $80
multi-family base square foot rates were increased by 43% to $80
condominium base square foot rates were increased by 28% to $115
The Board reviewed preliminary versions of sales ratio studies that will be submitted
to the state.
The Board was told that the state will be in to review our FY2004 revaluation from
August 4th through August 8th.
The Board decided to hold their next meeting on August 7, 2004.
